Horizon Europe National Office Visits the Silk Museum
On October 31, the Horizon Europe national office visited the Silk Museum to explore an exhibition highlighting the rich history of scientific practices of sericulture (silkworm farming) and moriculture (mulberry cultivation). This exhibition is part of the ARACNE project, funded by Horizon Europe, which focuses on the cultural heritage of European silk production and its preservation. The project has been developed with the robust support of the Horizon Europe national office.
The exhibition serves as a chronological guide to the scientific directions that shaped the industrial landscape of Georgia in the 20th century. It features a compelling array of century-old hand-drawn infographics from early 20th-century Padua, Soviet-era agitation posters from the 1950s, various illustrations and thematic materials.
