The Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025 has been adopted!

This updated Work Programme sets the course for how EU research funding will support key priorities — from driving prosperity and competitiveness, to empowering researchers' careers across Europe, and enhancing our overall quality of life.

This year's Work Programme is simpler, more accessible, and designed to reduce the burden on applicants.

Funding highlights include:

  • Advancing the development of artificial intelligence
  • Supporting #EUMissions and the #NewEuropeanBauhaus Facility
  • Attracting top talent with Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under #ChooseEurope for Science

Out of the €7.3 billion total investment:

  • 35% is earmarked for climate action
  • 8.8% for biodiversity
  • 36% for the digital transition
