The flagship event of the EU-funded project “New European Bauhaus for All” (NEB4All)
On October 30–31, 2025, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia and the organization of the “Horizon Europe” National Office of Georgia, the flagship event of the EU-funded project “New European Bauhaus for All” (NEB4All) took place.
The project aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as to strengthen and support the national contact points of 22 partner countries through twinning, mentoring, and joint initiatives. It brings together a network of professionals united by the core values of the New European Bauhaus — beauty, sustainability, and inclusion.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, as a beneficiary organization of the project, leads the task “Mentoring and Twinning.”
On the first day of the event, participants explored Tbilisi’s historic districts and Gudiashvili Square, taking part in inspiring architectural tours that included a visit to the “Meama” Coffee Factory — a coffee capsule manufacturing company renowned for its advanced production standards and harmonious architectural design. Guests learned about the company’s innovative technologies and contemporary approaches.
On October 31, the official opening ceremony of the Flagship Twinning Event took place, featuring welcoming speeches by Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Elena Montani, Head of the “New European Bauhaus” Unit at the European Commission (Belgium), Dr. Stefan Roth (FZJ GmbH), Coordinator of the NEB4All Project (Germany).
The event was moderated by Ana Goletiani, the National Contact Point for the New European Bauhaus in Georgia.
A panel discussion titled “Beautiful Transformation of Tbilisi and Georgia through Architecture and Design – A NEB Perspective” was held, uniting prominent Georgian architects and designers. World Café and mentoring sessions were conducted, providing a platform for NEB4All partners and Georgian stakeholders to exchange innovative ideas and identify new opportunities for future collaboration.
