Horizon Europe Information Day at Akaki Tsereteli State University
Akaki Tsereteli State University hosted an informative session dedicated to the Horizon Europe programme.
The session was led by the National Contact Points (NCPs) — Nino Rodonaia, Shorena Beridze, and Teona Maisuradze — who presented the opportunities offered by Horizon Europe, current calls for proposals, and the main participation mechanisms.
Particular attention was given to the WIDERA 2026 calls, which aim to widen participation and strengthen the European Research Area (ERA) by advancing reforms and improvements in Europe’s research and innovation systems.
The discussion also covered key funding aspects, including general financial rules, grant agreement models, and relevant budgeting requirements.
In addition, the session highlighted the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which support postdoctoral research to develop researchers’ skills and competencies, as well as doctoral networks and joint doctoral programmes that promote knowledge exchange and collaborative research.
The event was interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers on topics of interest.
