Horizon Europe Information Day at Georgian Technical University

On March 17, Georgian Technical University hosted a Horizon Europe Information Day, aimed at introducing the academic and research community to the priority directions for 2026.

The session was opened by Levan Khetsuriani, Head of the Horizon Europe National Office in Georgia, who highlighted the practical support provided by the office to researchers and scientists throughout the proposal preparation process.

National Contact Point (NCP) Ana Goletiani discussed funding mechanisms focused on the development of innovative ideas and technological advancement. She also introduced the "New European Bauhaus" initiative to the academic and innovation sectors - a movement that merges sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusiveness to foster the creation of human-centered environments.

National Contact Point (NCP) Maka Zhorzholiani provided a detailed overview of the 2026 priorities for Cluster 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility, focusing on strategic areas such as innovative pathways for combatting climate change, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and the development of smart and clean transport systems.

The session was held in an interactive format, allowing attendees to receive comprehensive answers to their specific questions.
