Horizon Europe Information Day for Businesses at GITA Tech Park

The Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia, in collaboration with the European Business Association Georgia's Innovation Committee, recently hosted a dedicated Information Day for business companies. The event was hosted by the Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) at the Tech Park Tbilisi.

The session opened with welcoming remarks from:

Mariam Kuchuloria — Managing Director of the European Business Association (EBA);

Tornike Jobava — Deputy Chairman of the Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA);

Levan Khetsuriani — Head of the "Horizon Europe" National Office in Georgia.

The core of the meeting focused on funding opportunities available to the business sector through the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). These sessions were led by Ana Goletiani, National Contact Point for the "Horizon Europe" National Office.

Highlighting local success, Nikoloz Khundzakishvili, Founding Partner of "Biotron Energy" and the first beneficiary of the EIC "Pre-Accelerator" competition from Georgia, shared his personal experience and discussed the key challenges involved in the application process.

The meeting also explored grant opportunities and future perspectives within the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative.

A panel discussion on innovation ecosystem challenges and priorities was held, moderated by Julia Schwarz, EBA Innovation Committee Chair and Co-Founder & CEO at December32.

The event concluded with a networking session, providing business representatives the opportunity to connect directly with presenters and innovation experts to discuss future collaborations.
