Horizon Europe Information Day at Ken Walker International University

On May 19, an Information Day of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia was held at Ken Walker International University. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the university's academic staff and researchers to European funding opportunities.
The session was opened with welcoming remarks by Eka Ekaladze, Rector of the University, and Levan Khetsuriani, Head of the National Office. Levan Khetsuriani spoke about the role and objectives of the Horizon Europe program. He also highlighted the specifics of forming international consortia and noted the types of support and assistance the National Office offers to Georgian researchers in this process.
During the Information Day, the National Contact Points introduced various upcoming calls to the audience:
🔷 Health Cluster: Nika Vachadze reviewed both the 2026 and future 2027 calls.

🔷 Innovative Europe: Ana Goletiani presented a detailed overview of the 2026 challenges, funding opportunities, and prospects for developing innovation ecosystems.

🔷 WIDERA (Widening, ERA): Nino Rodonaia introduced the attendees to the specifics and key requirements of the 2026-2027 calls for Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area.
The meeting was interactive, allowing researchers to receive comprehensive answers and practical recommendations on topics of interest to them.
