Net4Society Matchmaking Event for 2026 Cluster 2 calls - Vika Kardava

Within the framework of the NCP_WIDERA.NET travel grant, issued by the Horizon Europe National Office in Georgia, Vika Kardava, Assistant Professor at Sokhumi State University, participated in the Horizon Europe Cluster 2 International Brokerage Event held in Paris on June 1-2, 2026.

Vika Kardava delivered a presentation to an international audience, introducing the university's research and institutional potential, international experience, and strategic vision for participating in the Horizon Europe 2026 calls.

Within the framework of the presentation, particular emphasis was placed on the unique experience of Sokhumi State University as a displaced university, as well as its past activities and future initiatives in the fields of peacebuilding, post-conflict transformation, democracy, civic education, media and digital literacy, cultural heritage, and social innovations.

Following the presentation, bilateral meetings were held with representatives from various European universities, research centers, and organizations, where opportunities for future collaboration and the implementation of joint projects within the scope of Horizon Europe were discussed.

Participation in the event and the university's presentation significantly contributed to enhancing the international visibility of Sokhumi State University, establishing new partner networks, and developing future collaborations.
