Horizon Europe Info Day at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
On 16 September, as part of the “Regional Science Festival 2026” held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia introduced the university’s academic staff and researchers to the programme’s current calls and opportunities.
The meeting was opened with welcoming remarks by Levan Khetsuriani, Head of the National Office. He highlighted the role and objectives of the Horizon Europe programme, as well as the support provided by the National Office to Georgian researchers in the process of participating in grant projects.
During the information session, National Contact Points of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia, Nikoloz Vachadze and Tamar Berberashvili, presented the following opportunities:
🔹 Health (Cluster 1): currently open calls and upcoming opportunities for 2027;
🔹 Research Infrastructures: relevant calls and participation opportunities;
🔹 Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society: available opportunities under Cluster 2.
The meeting was held in an interactive format, with participants having the opportunity to ask questions and receive information on issues of particular interest to them, including mechanisms for joining international consortia, strategies for finding partners, and key aspects of preparing a successful project proposal.
