Horizon Europe Information Day at Caucasus International University
On 27 April, Caucasus International University (CIU) hosted an information session organised by the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia. The meeting aimed to inform the university's academic staff about the funding opportunities available within the programme.
The session opened with welcoming remarks from:
Kakhaber Kordzaia — Rector of Caucasus International University.
Levan Khetsuriani — Head of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia.
Sesili Gogiberidze — Head of the Scientific Research Department.
The speakers highlighted the programme's importance and the support offered by the National Office of Georgia to researchers.
During the session, National Contact Points (NCPs) delivered detailed presentations on the following areas:
🔹 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)
Teona Maisuradze discussed the specifics of Postdoctoral Fellowships, Doctoral Networks, and Joint Doctorates.
🔹 WIDERA (Widening participation and strengthening the European Research Area)
Nino Rodonaia reviewed the 2026 WIDERA calls, focusing on priorities for widening participation and the advancement of the European Research Area.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, providing participants with practical recommendations and comprehensive answers to their inquiries.
