Horizon Europe Information Day at National Defence Academy of Georgia
On May 7, a Horizon Europe Information Day was held at the David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia. The event aimed to introduce the program's opportunities to the Academy's academic staff and researchers.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the Head of the Scientific-Research Centre of the Academy, Colonel Giorgi Laghiashvili.
Within the framework of the Information Day:
🔹 Tamar Berberashvili (NCP for Cluster 3) provided a detailed overview of Cluster 3: Civil Security for Society, which aligns with the Academy's strategic interests.
🔹 Teona Maisuradze (NCP for MSCA) discussed the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, focusing on Postdoctoral Fellowships, Doctoral Networks, and Staff Exchanges.
🔹 Nino Rodonaia (NCP for WIDERA) presented the ongoing 2026 calls and upcoming 2027 opportunities under Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area (WIDERA). Furthermore, she highlighted the possibilities offered by the Hop-on Facility.
The session was held in an interactive format, where participants received practical recommendations and comprehensive answers to their specific inquiries.
