Horizon Europe Information Day at Central University of Europe

On May 15, the Central University of Europe hosted the Information Day of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia. The meeting aimed to introduce the current year’s grant calls and funding opportunities of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation to researchers, academic staff, and students.

The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Gocha Tutberidze, Rector of the Central University of Europe, and Levan Khetsuriani, Head of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia.
Within the framework of the Information Day, National Contact Points provided the participants with detailed insights into the current challenges and funding pathways across various fields:
🔷 Maka Zhorzholiani (National Contact Point for Cluster 5 and Cluster 6) reviewed the current year's calls for Cluster 6 (Climate, Energy and Mobility);
🔷 Nika Vachadze (National Contact Point for Research Infrastructures) presented the current year's challenges for the Health Cluster;
🔷 Teona Maisuradze (National Contact Point for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) spoke about postdoctoral fellowships, doctoral networks activities, and joint doctoral programmes;
🔷 Ana Goletiani (National Contact Point for the European Innovation Council, European Innovation Ecosystems, European Institute of Innovation and Technology, and NEB4All) focused on the opportunities of "Innovative Europe" 2026.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, where attendees received comprehensive answers to their questions.
