Horizon Europe Info Day at Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU)

On June 15, Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) hosted a Horizon Europe Info Day, aimed at introducing Georgian researchers and scientists to new European funding opportunities.

During the event, National Contact Points (NCPs) delivered detailed presentations on key priority areas and open calls:

Health Cluster: Nikoloz Vachadze reviewed current open calls and priorities for the medical and healthcare fields.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA): Teona Maisuradze highlighted funding opportunities under Postdoctoral Fellowships, Doctoral Networks, and Staff Exchanges.

COST Association: Natia Gabitashvili introduced pathways for joining European networks in science and technology.

Innovative Europe: Ana Goletiani outlined the 2026 challenges, funding mechanisms under the European Innovation Council (EIC), and innovation ecosystems.

WIDERA (Widening participation and strengthening the European Research Area): Nino Rodonaia discussed the 2026 calls aimed at widening participation and strengthening the ERA.

The attendees gained practical recommendations on project proposal preparation and strategies for building successful collaborations with European partners.
